Recreate the Instrumental. Own the Performance.
Custom backing track remakes for cover artists, karaoke producers, and live performers who need studio-quality instrumentals without the original recording.
What This Service Is
A backing track remake is a full instrumental reproduction of an existing song, built from the ground up in our studio.
We listen to the original recording and recreate every element of the instrumental arrangement — drums, bass, keys, guitars, synths, strings, and any other instrumentation — using virtual instruments, sample libraries, and hardware synthesizers. The result is a high-fidelity backing track that captures the feel and structure of the original, without using any audio from the original recording itself.
Our clients use these remakes for live performances where the original instrumental is unavailable or low-quality, for karaoke production, for YouTube and social media cover videos, and for vocal demo recordings that need a professional instrumental bed. Every remake is produced note-for-note by listening to the original, so the arrangement matches the song structure, key, tempo, and dynamics you expect.
Unlike a generic MIDI file or a quick stem separation, our remakes are mixed and balanced as a complete instrumental. You receive a full stereo WAV file ready for performance or further vocal recording. We can also provide stems on request so your engineer has flexibility during mixing.
Copyright & Usage Note
- Our recreations are original productions — we do not sample, extract, or copy audio from the original recording.
- We do not claim any rights to the original composition or songwriting. The underlying composition copyright remains with the original songwriter and publisher.
- These remakes are intended for live performance, cover recordings, karaoke, and demo use. For commercial release of a cover song, you are responsible for securing the appropriate mechanical license in your territory.
- We do not distribute, resell, or publish your remake anywhere. The delivered files are yours to use as agreed.
Choose Your Level of Fidelity
Every track is different. We scale the production depth based on the original song's complexity and your performance needs.
Light Remake
$199 Personal
$399 Commercial
Stripped-down arrangement with core instrumentation only. Suitable for simpler songs with a small number of parts — think acoustic-driven tracks, basic pop structures, or songs under 3.5 minutes. We capture the essential harmonic and rhythmic framework without dense layering.
- Core rhythm section + lead instruments
- Standard pop instrumentation
- Up to 3.5 minutes
- Stereo WAV delivery
Full Remake
$349 Personal
$699 Commercial
Complete instrumental reproduction at standard pop/rock complexity. All major parts are recreated with attention to tone, articulation, and dynamics. Suitable for most Top 40, rock, indie, and R&B tracks. Includes layered backing vocals where structurally important to the arrangement.
- Full instrumentation across all sections
- Standard pop/rock complexity
- Backing vocal pads included
- One round of revisions
High-Fidelity Remake
$599 Personal
$1,199 Commercial
The closest possible reproduction for dense, layered productions. Every synth patch, drum fill, string part, and texture is matched as faithfully as our ears and gear allow. Suitable for complex electronic, orchestral, prog, or heavily produced tracks. Higher bit depth, more detailed mixing, and closer dynamic matching to the original.
- High complexity and dense layering
- Orchestral/electronic textures matched
- Higher fidelity output and mixing
- Stems export included
What You Provide
Here is everything we need to create an accurate remake of your chosen track.
Link to the Original Song
A Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, or any other streaming link so we can reference the exact version you want recreated. If there is a specific section, intro length, or fade you want, let us know.
Purpose of the Track
Let us know how you plan to use the remake — live performance, cover video, karaoke production, or demo recording. This helps us make the right production decisions, like leaving space for a live band or keeping certain cues.
Complexity Expectation
If the track is a simple four-chord song versus a densely layered prog-metal epic, we need to know up front. We will listen ourselves, but your input on what matters most helps us quote accurately.
Specific Instrumentation Requests
Any special requirements — for example, if you want a piano-only version, if you need the instrumental transposed to a different key, or if you want certain sections extended or shortened.

Backing Track FAQ
How close to the original will it sound?
The Pro tier gets very close — we obsess over synth patches, drum tones, and arrangement details. But this is a re-creation, not a copy-paste. Virtual instruments and sample libraries sound excellent but will never be 100% identical to a specific recording's unique analog chain, mic placement, and performance quirks. For most covers and live performances, the difference is negligible. If you need a note-for-note clone of a very specific production, let us know up front so we can assess feasibility.
Can you remake any song?
Most songs with standard instrumentation are no problem. Tracks that rely heavily on live improvisation, extremely rare vintage gear, or very specific vocal-sample-based production techniques are harder to match exactly. We will tell you honestly during the review phase if we think a particular track is beyond our ability to faithfully reproduce. Orchestral scores with dozens of unique parts may require a custom quote. Send us the link and we will let you know within 24 hours.
What is the difference between a remake and the original instrumental?
The original instrumental is the master recording without the vocal — it is the actual performance captured in the studio. A remake is a new performance we create from scratch that sounds similar. You cannot legally obtain the original instrumental for most commercial songs unless the artist or label releases it. Our remake gives you a high-quality alternative that you can use freely for performance and covers, without touching the original recording rights.
How long does it take?
Standard turnaround is 5 to 10 business days depending on complexity and our current queue. Rush delivery is available for a 30-50% surcharge and can cut turnaround to 2-4 business days. We confirm the timeline with your quote so you always know what to expect.
Can I use this for commercial releases?
Yes, if you purchase the Commercial license tier. The Commercial tier covers use in revenue-generating recordings, streaming releases, and monetized content. For cover songs released commercially, you are responsible for securing the mechanical license from the original publisher. We provide the instrumental; you handle the cover licensing. The Personal tier covers live performance, non-monetized videos, auditions, and demo use.
